Four dead in Karibib head-on collision

Four people were killed in a head-on-collision near Karibib on Monday evening.

According to an incident report issued by the Erongo police yesterday, the accident took place 10km from Karibib towards Usakos. It is alleged the driver of a white double cab Toyota bakkie was travelling from Karibib in the direction of Usakos when he collided with a Polo Vivo, which was travelling from Usakos towards Karibib.

The driver of the Polo, Festus Chris, and his three passengers Ihuhwa Asaf Kamilo, Sheekuli Andreas and Johanna Hamutenya died on the scene. All were residents of Karibib.

The next of kin of the deceased have been informed. The two occupants of the bakkie sustained injuries.
