Athlete’s World

The 28-year-old Anri Krugel has steadily risen to prominance in Namibian triathlon, road cycling and mountain biking circles lately and will feature in this week’s episode of Athlete’s World – telling us about her fitness routine and upcoming goals.

As national champion in triathlon, Krugel presented Namibia at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, achieving an individual 23rd place.

Her top results as a road cyclist include podium placings at this year’s national championship (third in road race, second in time trial).

Along with her team mates at the 2023 African road race championship in Accra, they gave Namibia’s chances of Olympic qualification a huge boost as Courtney Liebenberg (5th), Krugel (7th), Vera Looser (8th) and Melissa Hinz (14th) all finished strongly.
