AFCON player profile: Riaan Hanamub

Blessed with a fierce left foot, Nelvin Riaan Hanamub burst onto the scene after playing for his boyhood club, Touch & Go of Otavi, from 2013 to 2015. He then joined Namibia’s Orlando Pirates, where he also thrived as a player from 2015 to 2018. His remarkable pace and crossing ability earned him a place with the Brave Warriors during the 2016 football season. Hanamub then moved to South Africa, joining Jomo Cosmos from 2018 to 2020. He attracted the interest of Chippa United and joined the club, representing them from 2020 to 2022. The player then moved to Amazulu, where his talent has also not gone unnoticed. Having been part of the 2019 Brave Warriors Afcon team, Hanamub returns to the Afcon as a senior player with a wealth of experience.
