Earlier this week, Keetmanshoop mayor McDonald Hanse announced the commencement of essential municipal services in Extension 7 of the Tseiblaagte location.

During a groundbreaking ceremony, he said the occasion marked not only the laying of the foundation for buildings and infrastructure, but also the "sowing of seeds for a brighter future for residents".

"The provision of civil services is a crucial step in ensuring that our community thrives and that the needs of our residents are met with efficiency and effectiveness.

“Today is a momentous occasion as we gather here for the groundbreaking of a project that holds the promise of progress and development for our community," Hanse said.

The mayor added that the council's priority is to bring much-needed services to the residents of Keetmanshoop.

“We are serious about service delivery," he added.
