Man accused of killing girlfriend with a stone

A 26-year-old suspect was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly stoned his girlfriend to death after a heated argument.
The deceased was identified as Beverly Theresia Nanus (34). The victims' next of kin were informed.
Namibian Police Chief Inspector Ileni Shapumba, a spokesperson for the Erongo police, confirmed the incident occurred on Saturday at Okombahe settlement in the Omaruru district.
According to Shapumba, it was alleged that Nanus and her boyfriend had a heated argument over their relationship.
"A fight broke out between the two, and in the process, the boyfriend struck the deceased with a big stone on the right side of her head, causing serious injuries that included a deformity in the upper arm (fracture), a deep stab wound on her left leg, bruises, and other visible injuries all over her body, resulting in her death. The suspect then proceeded to clean off evidence, including the blood stains."
A postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
