Homely and relaxed
Uitkyk Guest Farm is an oasis situated next to the Khan River with a breathtaking view of the Erongo Mountains.
Located 5 km outside Usakos, Uitkyk is easily accessible from the main road after a 1.2 km stretch of dirt road. This relatively new family-owned and managed guest farm offers seven double or twin en suite rooms of which five are equipped with double beds and two with two single beds each. The rooms are conveniently located next to the main pool (there are two pools) and main farmhouse. They are equipped with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
Guests are treated to Namibian cuisine straight from an open fire braai at the spacious lapa and bar area, where every meal is a celebration! “Hospitality is what we are about. Everyone feels at home the moment they arrive here and they leave as friends. The atmosphere is homely and relaxed. Come and experience our beautiful facilities and wonderful meals,” invites Hannes and Susan Wiese.
Game drives are also offered at Uitkyk Guest Farm.
These provide a unique experience and access to a wide range of game including giraffes, oryx, mountain zebras, sable antelopes, kudu, lechwes, waterbucks, springboks as well as ostriches which the farm houses.
Variety
The animals are fed in the afternoon and the game can be viewed from the lapa while grazing. The two resident crocodiles are also fed every third day. There is also a huge variety of birds and small animals such as tortoises, hedgehogs, guinea fowls, peacocks and wild pheasants roaming around the farm.
There are six campsites located under large trees on the banks of the Khan River, available for more adventurous nature lovers.
Each facility is equipped with a bricked braai, shaded kitchen enclosure with a picnic table, wash-up area, an electrical power point, tap, lighting and a designated bathroom in the ablution facility.
There are no large predators on this private game farm, but visitors are guaranteed to most likely run into a friendly antelope or giraffe during their stay.
